About GUP-py
In 1995 GUP-py was founded in Berlin on the initiative of Japanese artist Yoko Hata. Since then GUP-py has expanded to a group working in the different fields – contemporary art, movie, book editing and graphic design.
Über GUP-py
Im Jahr 1995 wurde GUP-py auf Initiative der japanischen Künstlerin Yoko Hata in Berlin gegründet. Seitdem entwickelte sich GUP-py zu einer Gruppe, welche in verschiedenen Bereichen – zeitgenössische Kunst, Film, Publikation und Gestaltung – tätig ist. |

In the dialog exhibition “ge schicht et” by Harriet Groß (Germany) and GUP-py (Japan), the two artists deal with the different levels of perception processes. In their work they travel through the cities of Berlin and Tôkyô and create poetic images that have a changing focus on the individual layers.
In der Dialogausstellung „ge schicht et“ von Harriet Groß (Deutschland) und GUP-py (Japan) setzen sich die beiden Künstlerinnen mit den verschiedenen Ebenen von Wahrnehmungsprozessen auseinander. Dafür wandern sie in ihren Arbeiten durch die Städte Berlin und Tôkyô und entwickeln poetische Bilder, die einen wechselnden Fokus auf die einzelnen Schichten werfen.
